EZDRM offers authenticated C2PA video provenance services to securely attach authorship and rights holder provenance assertions to video content. The cryptographic foundation of these increasingly valuable services is our relationship with SSL.com.
As a member of the widely supported C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity), EZDRM offers authenticated services for authors and rights holders. Whether at the point of original creation or any subsequent stage of processing or editing they can securely attach their provenance assertions to video content. A cryptographic certificate architecture and certificate management service is the infrastructure that enables secure signed provenance. EZDRM is actively supporting this vital C2PA initiative by providing tools that seamlessly enable the value of provenance in streaming video workflows, especially in the context of live event streaming. Extending the application of C2PA to video with these new tools fulfills new business requirements around integrity assurance and supports scalable implementations on the cusp of innovation in modern streaming services.
C2PA Certificates
C2PA supports two types of certificates:
-
C2PA Claim Signing Certificates, typically used by platforms like EZDRM to prove they processed an asset,
-
CAWG Identity Certificates, which allow an individual and/or organization to add their own signature to a piece of content. This second signature enables machine-readable attribution and delivers significant value to content creators.
By partnering with SSL.com, EZDRM makes it easy for customers to source and use CAWG Certificates — making content attribution seamless and powerful.
"At a time when content creators feel unprecedented pressure from generative AI, C2PA and CAWG give them a way to authenticate and attribute their content. SSL.com issues the certificates that make those signatures verifiable, and EZDRM brings them into live streaming workflows where, combined with DRM, creators can protect the content as well.," commented Dom Guinard, Director of Product - Content Authenticity & IoT at SSLcom.
“Our market space is fundamentally reliant on cryptographic certificates, and it is fantastic to have a partner like SSL.com who appreciates the full value of the certificant applications,” stated Olga Kornienko, COO and Co-Founder at EZDRM. “We value the cooperative effort in establishing these certificate configurations for our clients, and the help in evangelizing the applications of secure provenance, amongst many other initiatives.
