Enabling the Google ecosystem
Full Native Client Security
All recent generations of the Widevine technology have supported HW level integration in the chipset of the client device, offering so called Level 1 security which is required for premium content including Ultra HD, 4K and HDR. This security model is integrated with Chrome and Android support of MPEG-DASH and Google's own WebM video format.
MPEG-DASH and CMAF Streams
The Widevine DRM service fully leverages Common Encryption (CENC) to enable a single stream with universal client DRM compatibility. The native AES CTR and CBC encryption key system already adopted throughout the industry gives full future CMAF compatibility.
Google Cast Support
Full Google Cast support for dynamic stream consumption in a secure manner across multiple slave device screen types.
