# C2PA for live video: Signing and Authentication in Real Time

As a leader in digital rights management, EZDRM worked with [Qualabs](https://www.qualabs.com/our-work/c2pa-for-live-video-how-to-sign-and-authenticate-content-in-real-time) to develop a C2PA [mailto:C@PA](mailto:C@PA)implementation framework that showcases live video signing and authentication. The solution was developed on an agressive timeline to support a demonstration of how real-time content authentication could work in practice.As AI-generated media, deepfakes, and content manipulation become more sophisticated, the need for authentic, verifiable digital content has never been greater. C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) offers a solution by allowing cryptographic signatures and metadata to be embedded in media files, proving their origin and integrity.

![Blog-c2pa_live](https://www.ezdrm.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Images/Blog-c2pa_live.png?width=800&height=636&name=Blog-c2pa_live.png)The team delivered a production-ready signing proxy capable of performing all critical steps in the live signing workflow, including fragment ingestion, processing each live fMP4 segment, hashing and chaining with anchor-point resets, signing using the C2PA toolchain, and embedding both the signature and hash into the segment’s uuid box.

On the client side, the validator library integrates directly into existing video players. It reads the embedded metadata, replays the CBC chain, and verifies signatures in real time, triggering tamper alerts without interrupting playback.
